Attachment Theory provides a powerful lens for understanding the needs of children who have experienced trauma, loss, or disrupted relationships. Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) takes these insights a step further by offering caregivers concrete ways to respond with safety, trust, and connection.
This training introduces the PACE model—Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy—as a practical framework to strengthen attachment and reduce conflict in daily caregiving. Participants will learn how these simple but profound approaches can transform everyday interactions, support emotional regulation, and foster resilience in children who struggle with trust.
Caregivers will leave with:
-
A clear understanding of how attachment impacts behavior and relationships.
-
Practical examples of how to use PACE in real-life caregiving moments.
-
Strategies for repairing after conflict and creating felt safety at home.
Whether you’re new to attachment-focused caregiving or looking to deepen your skills, this session will equip you with tools to nurture stronger, healing connections with the children in your care.
