This potty training workshop is designed to teach parents the foundations needed by children and a family for potty training. It focuses on the behaviors and skills required for a child to be independent with the restroom routine. It will also focus on how to teach these skills for children that have experienced trauma and how techniques can be modified to help children be successful with toilet training.

PLEASE NOTE: Disregard the verification code given at the end of the video. It is no longer required.

Cost: $25 (As always, free for foster parents!)

M.Ed., BCBA

I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2006 and went on to receive my Master’s in Education from the University of Texas in Austin in 2008. While working towards my degrees I provided applied behavior therapy in center and home based settings being mentored by several behavior analysts as well as working with speech and language pathologists and occupational therapists. Since 2010, I have both supervised and provided applied behavior analytic and verbal behavior therapy to children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders. Therapy has been in clinical, home, and classroom settings. I have consulted with school districts and provided basic ABA therapy training to teachers and staff members. I have experience with children engaging in challenging behaviors such as aggression towards others, self-injurious behaviors, tantrums and screaming. I have conducted functional behavior assessments, functional assessments, written behavior intervention plans, and individual education plans.

My goal is to decrease challenging behaviors while  increasing communication, self-help and independence, as well as improve academic and social skills.
